Hey do you know what they call the Hunger Games in Japan? Battle Royale! Today’s movie review is Battle Royale based on the book by Koushun Takami, and directed by Kinji Fukasaku. Battle Royale takes place in a  Totalitarian Japan where the government has created the BR Act in which a randomly selected high school class is kidnapped and forced to participate in deadly game. Each student is equipped with a collar that monitors their movements and is also a bomb. The students are released into a deserted island, at which point each kid is given a random weapon and told to win. 42 students enter only 1 can leave. When it comes down to it could you kill a friend? A bully? A lover? Battle Royale handles the emotional pressures of adolescence and isolation with a healthy dose of ultra violence. This is definitely an instant classic watch it now on Netflix! SHUUYAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!
